This is no way legal advice but I’m just going to touch on a few of the advantages and disadvantages LLC’s have.

Limited Liability Company Advantages And Disadvantages

First the LLC limits liability for it’s managers and members.

Second there is flow through taxation, this avoids double taxation.  In some states an LLC provides excellent privacy protection. 

Disadvantages are few.   These include fees for operating your LLC,  and transferability restrictions between members. 

A quick summary

In general, most people agree that llc’s offer great protection and many advantages and that the disadvantages are very minor and well worth it. 

In general if you’re in any kind of business you should protect yourself and an LLC is usually a good choice.
